Carbonic Acid Corrosion Inhibitor for Steam Generator;
OPTIGARD MR 450 is a neutralizing liquid corrosion inhibitor specifically developed to eliminate carbon dioxide-induced corrosion in short and medium-length steam and condensate lines containing volatile, multi-amines with medium and low dispersion rates.
It is an excellent carbon dioxide inhibitor.
It protects condensate lines against acid corrosion by neutralizing the low pH caused by carbonic acid and other acidic components.
It maintains a high pH in condensate lines and does not form deposits.
It does not decompose under the high pressures and temperatures of steam boilers. It does not cause foaming or carryover in the boiler.
The salts formed by the amines in its structure with carbonic acid have high water solubility.
It is economical with its high concentration and low dosage. It is easy to use. It extends the economic life of steam systems and reduces maintenance and repair costs.
Its ingredients are FDA-approved for use in contact with foodstuffs other than milk and dairy products.
