Scale Inhibitor for Steam Generators and Boilers
OPTIGARD SP 100 is a highly potent, liquid, deposit inhibitor formulated from polymeric dispersants and specially selected phosphonates with very high thermal and chemical stability.
In steam boilers, it binds and disperses hardness ions introduced by hardness leaks and metal oxides formed by corrosion from condensate lines, preventing their deposition on heat-transmitting surfaces.
It cleans metal surfaces by reducing iron oxide and copper oxide deposits formed before the conditioning program.
The polymeric compounds in its composition inhibit hardness, typically caused by lime crystals, and break down the spontaneously formed scale bonds in boiler water.
It facilitates the formation of polymeric reactions through chain sites that clean the water flow path and combine deposit-forming cations in the feedwater.
It saves energy by keeping heat-transmitting surfaces clean.
It disperses metal ions and oxides formed by corrosion or entering the system with the feedwater. Thanks to the polymers in its structure, it also cleans previously formed deposits over time.
