OPTISOL ® PURE 935 QC

QAC-Based Surface Disinfectant

OPTISOL® PURE 935 QC is a high-performance surface disinfectant containing quaternary ammonium compounds and WFI water for injection, specifically formulated for the periodic decontamination of hard and non-porous surfaces, particularly used in cleanroom sterilization.

It is effective against bacteria, fungi, viruses, molds, and many types of microbes, including Aspergillus niger.

OPTISOL® PURE 935 QC has a very good disinfection effect.

Its concentrated formula provides cost and labor advantages.

APPLICATIONS / INDICATIONS

OPTISOL® PURE 935 QC is developed for use as a disinfectant in pharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetic manufacturing facilities; in cleanroom disinfection; in all areas of the food industry; in food processing, preparation, and serving facilities; in livestock, poultry, and feed processing facilities; in the veterinary field for the general disinfection of stainless steel surgical, autopsy, and examination sets; in animal research facilities; in poultry houses, hatcheries, and for the disinfection of equipment used therein; in the general or specific disinfection of diseased poultry and animal shelters with varying concentrations; and also in milking parlors, the exterior surfaces of milking machines and cooling tanks; slaughterhouses, meat processing plants, cold storage facilities; clinics, examination rooms, animal hospitals, and veterinary clinics; and other enclosed areas where infectious contamination control is necessary, on washable, hard, non-porous environmental surfaces such as floors, walls, countertops, tools, carts, and other equipment.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

QAC, a component of OPTISOL® PURE 935 QC, is among the effective disinfectants. When dissolved in water or in contact with organic matter, it slowly releases chlorine, exhibiting disinfection efficacy. Because this action occurs slowly, the disinfection rate is slow, but the duration of effect is long. Alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride solution has a sublimating effect (vaporizing a solid substance and returning it to a solid state for a significant purification). Generally, it has high wetting power due to its water solubility, and the ions adhering to the surface have a long-lasting effect. Therefore, it possesses high cleaning power. It is highly absorbed by the bacterial cell membrane. While the positively charged group combines with the phosphate groups of phospholipids in the bacterial membrane, the non-polar portion penetrates the inner part of the membrane. As a result of this effect, the semi-permeability of the membrane is lost, and compounds containing nitrogen and phosphorus leak from the cell. Subsequently, it enters the cell and denatures proteins. They reduce surface tension and plasma membrane permeability at bactericidal and bacteriostatic concentrations. They inactivate Gram-positive bacteria such as Staph. aureus, Enter. faecium, and List. monocytogenes; Gram-negative bacteria such as Prot. mirabilis, Pseudo aeruginosa, Salm. typhimurium, Yers. enterocolitica, and Camby. jesjuni; and yeasts and molds such as Asper. niger, Penic. expansum, and A. albicans.

MATTER SUITABILITY

OPTISOL® PURE 935 QC is suitable for all commonly used metals at the application concentration (iron, steel, zinc, copper, aluminum, etc.). It does not exhibit corrosive effects on plastics such as PE, PP, PTFE, PVDF, rigid PVC, and rubber under usage conditions.

APPLICATION

Before application, a 2% solution should be prepared by mixing 100 ml of OPTISOL® PURE 935 QC with 4.900 ml of WFI (water for injection) deionized water.

Applications can be done by pulverization, immersion, bath, or wiping.

All small equipment to be cleaned is immersed in the OPTISOL® PURE 935 QC solution and cleaned with a brush. Other surfaces can be disinfected by spraying.

After manual application, surfaces should remain wet for at least 5 minutes.
